Manage articlesThe “Gen 1” 1.4L turbocharged engine (RPO:LUJ or LUV) can have some spectacular power gains from upgrading the OE turbocharger wastegate actuator, when combined with proper tuning! This article goes into how boost control works on these engines (and turbocharged engines in general) and discusses the observed power gains from upgrading the OE wastegate actuator with a high quality aftermarket actuator.
Certain models of the 2011-2017 Buick Regal vehicles are equipped with additional mode buttons – one is labeled “GS” and the other is labeled “Sport”. Depending on the features of the vehicle, these buttons may change the way the suspension operates, the way the accelerator pedal responds, and/or the way the automatic transmission shifts.
We've been fans of the Buick Regal ever since the days of the Grand National. We were thrilled when, later, it was reintroduced in 2011 as a performance-oriented family sedan - it was on this platform that we established ourselves as the premier tuner for the Regal!
